The IAT will connect investors with start-ups in the first edition of ‘WinterInvest’
Malaga City Council, through the Metaverse High Technology Incubator (IAT), is launching the ‘WinterInvest’ conference, an event aimed at connecting innovative minds, disruptive projects and the power of investment in Malaga’s emerging companies.
This is an event where start-ups will have the opportunity to interact with a dozen outstanding investment funds from all over Spain. In this sense, funding entities specialising in innovation have already confirmed their participation in the conference. For example, Encomenda Smart Capital, Pinama Inversiones 23, Zubi Capital, CORE Angels Madrid, Blast Angels and the SportBoost fund, Iker Casillas’ project accelerator, among others.
‘WinterInvest by IAT’ will take place on 14 December at the National Digital Content Pole in Tabacalera. The initiative, organised in collaboration with Malaga Tech, is intended to be a beacon for corporations, start-ups, investors and enthusiasts of the technological ecosystem. This event’s main mission is to facilitate the connection between innovative potential and financial support, thus creating fertile ground for the development of the Metaverse and its associated technologies.
Entrepreneurs and the general public interested in attending ‘WinterInvest by IAT’ can do so for free through the following link where the full program of the event can also be found.
The High Technology Incubator in the Metaverse is an initiative jointly financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the INCYDE Foundation, and the Malaga City Council. This project, whose infrastructure is under construction, has been attracting and dynamising companies since February, taking advantage of the infrastructure of the National Digital Content Pole, as well as activities such as this week’s event.
Specialised workshop_
The event has been organised to include a constant stream of networking, including keynotes aimed at the general public and a specialised workshop for CEOs led by Wavveup, based in Barcelona.
The one-to-one meetings with investors will be especially helpful, as they will provide entrepreneurs with the unique opportunity to present their projects for ten minutes to up to six investment funds in private meetings.
After the day of presentations and private meetings, attendees will be able to participate in a networking cocktail to bring together investors, entrepreneurs and start-ups. This space seeks not only to promote business opportunities, but also to promote the creation of new business synergies in the city.
