The biggest problem we may encounter when using ChatGPT is that the information provided may be outdated or inaccurate, while Google Bard is able to better answer questions about events or investigations that have occurred recently.

In addition, Google Bard relies on its custom language model for dialogue applications (LaMDA) while ChatGPT uses GPT-4. The main difference is that LaMDA is designed to maintain consistent and natural conversations on any topic while GPT-4 is more powerful and versatile but also more unpredictable and prone to providing false information or generating unwanted results.

Depending on our needs, we might be more interested in using one tool or another. For example, if we want information on recent events not available to ChatGPT, we should use Google Bard, while if we want more creativity and power, we must use ChatGPT-4 in Bing, although we should be careful about potential errors.

Differences in Security

When it comes to choosing which AI to use, we must discuss security. Google Bard is an Artificial Intelligence that is somewhat more accurate, objective, fluid, natural and affordable than ChatGPT.

An advantage of Google Bard is that it has filters to prevent the sharing of harmful, illegal, sexual or personally identifiable information. For this reason, it may be the best option to handle personal data, although it is also able to correct errors or biases.

On the other hand, ChatGPT can be more fun, original, creative and surprising, although this extra “freedom” may lead it to be offensive, incoherent, repetitive and expensive.
